Hi, all, I'm planning to lay low at CookieCon this year - no teaching, no vending, no signing books, just sopping up all the sights, sounds, and delectable cookies I can get my hands on.

In between wiping crumbs off my face, I plan to stretch my journalism skills by covering the events and people of CookieCon and posting about them here on Cookie Connection

To help me plan the coverage that would most interest you (photos? videos? interviews? something else?), please answer the quick poll below. Please also elaborate in the comments. I would especially like to hear from those who cannot attend, so we can make your vicarious experience most satisfying!

Thanks in advance for the input. (I'm planning ahead because some of these ideas may take some time to organize!)

WOW - thank you so much for thinking of all of us that will not be able to attend this event. Being in Australia its just too far and too costly for me to go, unfortunately! Thanks again for all you do for us Julia!

I was just telling my husband about Cookie Con and how I would love to go next year! I would love to see mini video interviews. It would give us a little taste of being there and getting to know a little about our different cookier "friends". What a great idea to be geared toward those that cannot be there. I am sure it will only make us want more than ever, to be there next year.

Great idea Julia!  Being there before I would think covering every aspect of it would be nearly impossible but, knowing you, I am sure you will try to do it and will do it!!! I personally would like to meet more attendees... It is so great to read or listen to how cookies "happenned" to everyone... good experiences, bad experiences... there is a whole world out there to be pursued... I know it will be quite difficult to meet everyone there and that is why I would like to see it here... I would like to match the face to the cookie, blog, etc... most of us have cookie logos everywhere don't we? I did a coverage of 2011 on my blog and my viewers just loved it... But I covered it on a more "personal" basis,  with my Brazilian audience on mind... I am sure your coverage will be fantastic!!!

Margaret, I definitely can't cover it all as one person, so that's why I'm asking these questions. Hoping that there will be some common interests that pop to the top for everyone, so I can focus on a few key things.

Glad to hear that you'll be able to take it all in at CookieCon Julia and just have fun! And I'll be going to Cookie Con but I know I'll miss some of the happenings so it's good to know that you'll be covering the event and re-capping here on Cookie Connection!

A daily photo recap of all the beautiful, creative cookies. Perhaps  Saturday Spotlight, best use of royal icing, bests stencil, hand painted, most creative. Could go on. as a newbie who wishes she could be there. That's what I am interested in. Better yet put a ball cap on and strap the "Julia Cam" to your forehead . Ok Maybe that's over kill
