Hi Doris, I've tried all sorts of packaging over the years, some dreadful! I've settled on using chocolate-box style cushion padding layers, which I cut to size for pizza-box style brown boxes. I 'glue' the cookies in place on the padding, heatseal each layer into cellophane, then layer them up in the box with bubble wrap. I also put washi tape and tags on the boxes to make them look pretty. Then the gift boxes go in a postal box with packing peanuts.

Hi Doris, When I first started, a cake friend offloaded a massive stack of extra large cake boxes to me.  I tried to hand cut them and tape them to fit, but the result looked unprofessional and took so much valuable time, I quickly resorted to store bought bags, heat sealing, and premade boxes of all sizes (since every order seems to need a different size box).  For shipping, I just use the U.S. Postal Service's Priority Mail boxes, bubble wrap, and peanuts.  I still have those massive cake boxes; perhaps its time to gift them down the line to someone who can use them...
