Exactly three years ago to the day, this month's site artist was featured as a Cookie Connection site artist for the very first time - and for her adorable-beyond-words fall cookies no less! It's amazing how quickly time flies, yet how certain things can remain constant over the years - like this cookier's talent and her mastery of the cute cookie! (I mean, just look at this month's art, below and in our banner and backdrop right now. What could be cuter than these woodland creatures and acorns?!)
And who is this skilled cookie artist, you ask?! If you didn't recognize her work at first glance (or notice her watermark on the photo above 
), then it's my distinct pleasure to fill you in. Drum roll, please . . .
She's none other than @Di Art Sweets, aka Dora Lyubenova! Dora joined Cookie Connection from Bulgaria back in November 2017, and has since posted countless delightful cookies to the site. Thanks again, Dora, for brightening up our site's banner and backdrop again this month. And, as always, thanks to Site Art Stylist @Icingsugarkeks, aka Gabi, for taking Dora's original cookie art and making it fit into the unique confines of these special spaces on our site. I also adore the animated eye-blinking that Gabi added to the acorns!

Dora Lyubenova, also known as Di Art Sweets to her cookie friends, is an amateur cookie decorator from Bulgaria. She is a chemical engineer by training, and a mother of two children - a 27-year-old boy and an 14-year-old girl. Dora's interests include all aspects of art, but especially painting, sculpture, and photography. She loves embroidery, knitting, and travel as well. Dora started cookie decorating in 2017 when she had to make cookies for her own birthday! Soon after, she started to make cookies for her friends and relatives, and cookie decorating quickly became her new passion. In the beginning, she worked with fondant, but now she only works with royal icing. Dora has attended royal icing courses in Belgrade, and enjoys doing experiments and gaining any and all experience she can in cookie decorating. She loves the whole process of cookie work - from the dough to the photos! Now, six years after making her first cookies, she is a successful decorator and conducts her own cookie decorating courses in Bulgaria.
