Hi, all! In response to this post (and its very good points) about making creative use of cutters (i.e., using them in ways other than originally intended), I've opened up a new clip set where you can post cookies that do just this. It's called "Repurposed Cutter Cookies". And here's the exact definition of it:
(Remember, if you click on any clip set link on the site, you will be taken to a page that looks like the one above with that clip set's definition at the very top. When in doubt about where to put your photos, please do read the clip set definitions. The fewer miscategorizations on your end, the less admin time spent re-classifying on this end.)
So, for instance, if you turned all of your Christmas cutters into a non-Christmas cookie set (as was the subject of Practice Bakes Perfect Challenge #11), they would fit this clip set. Or, if you turned a witches' broomstick into a chicken drumstick, or a heart into a sad elf, or a basket into a helmet . . . you catch my drift!
If you know of cookies you've already posted to the site that fit this category, please feel free to go back and edit them to add this clip set. I've pre-populated the clip set with our Practice Bake Perfect Challenge #11 winners, but it could still use a few more cookies!
Just one more thing: When posting to that set, please add a note in your photo caption or comment about which cutters were repurposed (from what into what), so that viewers can make that connection without having to work! Thanks and enjoy!
