Aren't this month's banner and backdrop just completely adorable?! What absolute delights, and so perfect for this time of year! Originally posted by the very talented @Gina's Cake and Icing Cookies (aka Katuscya Marchioro) back in 2018, Katuscya's image was animated ever so slightly by Site Art Stylist @Icingsugarkeks (aka Gabi) to give it even more whimsy. (Note: the moving arms and legs on the snow angel!)
Thanks to both Katuscya and Gabi for making our site so charming this month. Since I've never done an in-depth Cookier Close-up interview with Katuscya, one is long overdue. My aim is to get questions to Katuscya in the coming month, so that her interview can be posted in February. (I can't wait to learn more about Katuscya - in particular, how she balances both cakes and cookies in her business, and how she cultivated her distinctly adorable style!) In the meantime, please take a moment to learn more about Katuscya by reading her short bio below and exploring its associated social media links.
Katuscya Marchioro, owner of @Gina's Cake and Icing Cookies, lives in Cuneo, a city in Piedmont, Italy. Katuscya is 54 years old and has two children, ages 18 and 13, and a dog called Ginger. She has been decorating cookies with a passion since 2014. After a self-taught period, she attended her first cookie class with the great Evelindecora. From that moment on, Katuscya never stopped decorating cookies, acquiring more and more skills, thanks also to the ideas provided by Cookie Connection. Decorating royal icing cookies allowed Katuscya to face a difficult family moment she was experiencing, and even though everything is resolved now, her passion for decorating has remained! Since 2017, Katuscya has been teaching cookie classes, primarily in Milan at the Italian Cake Design School, but her main activity remains the creation of cookies that spark the imagination.

Last but not least, for those of you who are wondering how to get featured, it's easy! Simply read these posts here and here. Remember: Site artists not only get their work featured prominently for a full month, but they also get profiled in a forum post and in an in-depth Cookier Close-up interview. All considered, it's a lot of great free PR in exchange for photo sharing! When preparing your site art, please bear in mind that I already have artwork through April 2023, so I am specifically looking for art for May 2023 and beyond. Please also remember that @Icingsugarkeks, our Site Art Stylist, is available to help you get your photos in the right format, so do not hesitate to contact her if you need assistance! You can send her a PM right here on Cookie Connection by clicking on her name (in pink) above.
