I searched for this product on the forums and did not see anything. Has anyone used "Vitral Stained Glass Paint" before? I contacted the company and was told it could be painted directly on royal icing. I have looked for other info on it but it seems that Bee's Baked Art Supplies is the only one that sells it. I would love to hear about any experiences anyone has had with this product. I just bought four colors and am waiting for them to get here. Thanks.

Thank you.
Never heard of it. I learned to do stain glass effect by adding color to corn syrup.

Does the corn syrup dry well? Can the cookies be packaged in plastic and not stick to the plastic? I live in the very humid environment of Alabama.
They were a little sticky. Basically an outline was made with black icing and then filled in with colored corn syrup. Give it a try. The cookies are ugly and made many years ago, but I will attach. These days I would leave an opening and use isomalt. Do you need a picture?

Thank you. Those are beautiful! Do you know of a technique other than isomalt? I am wondering because someone who is in a facebook group I am in posted a picture of a beautiful stained glass cookie. She said that her technique was easy and allowed her to bag it and it was completely dry. Several of us have asked her how she did it and she said it is a secret, but she will give us a $100 class to show us how.
Hello Rachel and Econlady. @Econlady @Rachel Boothe
I always find the questions asked here very interesting !!! I really like such colored glass cookies too !!! I have never done it myself and have also wondered how it is done !? I would probably try adding gelatin to the corn syrup and would simply try different mixing ratios. Too much gelatin could later make the "glossy layer" brittle or peel it off, and if too little it sticky. I could imagine it like that. (???) I would rather not try agar agar because it dries cloudy outside. The cookie would no longer shine. It's all guesswork, but I'm also very interested!
Econlady: the cookies in your photo are not ugly at all! They are very beautiful for the first try !!!
But I have a question for you Rachel. Are there no printed ingredients on this product ("Vitral Stained Glass Paint")? Maybe that's just gelatin and powder color that you have to mix in corn syrup or water ??!?)
Everything is only a "secret" until you have found a way ...
