Practice Bakes Perfect Challange 38 was near and dear to my heart. I loved it, and I hated it. To make a cookie that represents how I feel about Cookie Connection and these challenges was wonderful, and past due, and I love a chance to say how much I am thankful. I love this place because I have learned and grown as an artist. I love it because I have cookie friends from all over the globe now and the kindness of cookiers new and mature, keeps all of us spured on and inspired and growing in our abilities. But I hate this challange also. Because we have to say good bye to Christine's leadership in these challenges. Who hasn't been blessed by this lady. Her kind words and her ability to look for and articulate good in others has been a delight. I'm not a fan of change but I know it always brings me good. So I say: "Thank you" to Christine and offer my little quilt. Sugar cookies and molasses cookies are my most made cookies so that was my base. I work with children (owning a daycare and having 6 of my own kids) so this is a piece of my heart. And looking over the children's shoulder are the more mature cookiers. I have long hair, so front left could be me, but I'm also the littlest one, and also sometimes the old one (depends on the technique I'm trying). Thank you, thank you, thank you for everything, Christine and Julia. xoxo
Dear Kim, your words are so exact and meaningful! We all feel the same way. Christine, yes, thank you so much for all you have done these last years. You have played such an important role in this family! And you are stepping into something so challenging too. My prayers go out to you, dear friend. May you seek God’s guidance and wisdom and be a blessing to all who come in touch with you.

So eloquently put, Kim. It definitely shows that you put a lot of love into this piece - and I can't get over how detailed your people are! Such an amazing entry. 👏👏👏

Thanks, Carol! Sometimes I have an idea about a cookie and it's so clear, I'm sure others will do the same thing! hehe It's cool that God made us each so unique that we have a different expression artistically (even if the thought is the same). Anyway, thanks for your kind words.
