A friend had approached me to "help" her make cookies for a charity that offers assistance to cancer patients during the holidays. I did because I wanted an excuse to make cookies and help my good friend. However she told me a story about a couple whose wife had been in and out of chemo for the last year. They told her my cookies were the most beautiful they'd ever seen (lol they certainly weren't to me), gave her a hug and came back for more. My friend and I got emotional when she told me the next day. It never occurred to me that cookies could make such a positive impact on someone's life. It made my month!
