I am an elementary school teacher and a mother of three grown (well, one is practically grown) children. I live on the central coast of California. When I am not decorating cookies or working I like to garden, hike, go to thrift shops, "play" with my 4 pet tortoises, or read a good book. 

I started decorating sweets when I was a teenager after having taken a Wilton cake decorating class with my sister. When I became a mom I made cakes for my kids' birthdays and stuff. But, I never have been a fan of eating cake. I always liked cookies much better. I started decorating cookies for holidays about 10 years ago. I don't think I've decorated a cake since! I got my Cottage Food license this year and have been officially in business since February 2013.
