Hi, If an artist has presented a tutorial on this site for a technique, I know that attribution must be given for that work if reproduced and put in public in any fashion. My question is, does one also have to ask permission to reproduce the work, or is the tutorial itself an invitation to reproduce?

Tutorials on this site are here for you to try to make and thus reproduce. However, we do expect that if you post the material anywhere that you not only credit the site artist and link to that artist's work (by tagging them on the relevant platform and linking to them), but that you also link back to the tutorial on this site. Thank you! (Tagging @Manu biscotti decorati and @Aproned Artist to see if they have anything else to add.)

Great, thanks.  I am working on one of Manu's tutorials, and have been in contact with her.  I love Aproned Artists work as well, and would love to try out one of her tutorials, and wanted to do the right thing!

When in doubt, it's always best to ask the artist. But since we (not just the artist, but also me) put a lot of work into the tutorials on this site, I would like a link back to this site as well, even if the artist does not require it. That drives traffic here and builds membership, which is the primary reward for doing all the hard behind-the-scenes work. Thanks for asking.
