These 2" cookies were made over a week ago from leftovers. I think I prefer the white as my piped glaze details sometimes get lost once painted, so I'm building my photography skills. I refuse to believe depth and definition are impossible with only glaze. Truth about Frankie: He was much more defined but I decided to rough him up with a scribe because he had a sad expression. I like him better this way.
It is incredible what you are able to achieve with glaze! You know how much I like your "work in progress" pics, they help to appreciate every single detail of your amazing work!

Thank you, Manu I'm always pleasantly surprised when anyone comments on my work or even notices it.
I love the black dusted ones! I'd never heard of a hobo nickel before until I saw your tag and did some research. My first thought when I saw your cookies was 'oooh, a coin to pay the ferryman with'. Well done!!!

If you're going for scary, then the black is it. But I love the white.
I know this sounds silly, I mean, how can a skull be exquisite, but they are. They look like they're carved in pearl. And look at that relief! Beautiful

These are amazing! I am making skull cookies this week for a Macbeth play at the high scho I teach at. Did you handpaint these or use something else for the shading and coloring?

Thank you, Sweet Treats . Normally I hand paint but I just dusted these dry with black Rolkem dust. I wanted a dried out/old look, if that makes sense. It's a super concentrated black dust.
