This one was really challenge to me with many mistakes still have to training a lot!
For a first time I prepared Julia's dough, until now I used totaly different type of dough.
I was inspired from Julia M.Usher cactus and succulents in pots.
To create this pots I use some stainless steel cylinders, baskets &half hemispheres for deserts. Also for decoration I baked some cookies in molds to give a bit vintage note. The pieces from square pot I baked on silicone texture sheet to get nice surface. The basket and half hemisphere I just brushed with colours. The ring pot as Iced ad after dryed in owen stenciled with help of airbrush. Here I need to etched both rings before I glued them together. To addapt contour and assemble right all together wasn't piece of cakeFollowing on photos is dough, what I used to create my set, baked bases for cactus on wooden sticks and more,To piped cactus as you can see was difficult to me,now I'm thinking maybe I used wrong noozle!!
Hope and I wish to have enough time to make another entry
Petra, re: cookie challenge #151. “ A few pots”. This is quite amazing! Like your photos giving us idea how you created these pretty baked pots and cookie plants. What is the name of the roll/ cylinder you used ( the blue stenciled one) ? What temperature did you bake it, and is it a cake consistency?
The box type cookie reminds me of gingerbread sides to a house.

So sweet! I love your vintage version of my project! Very nicely done! And thanks for the attribution of my recipe/design direction. Much appreciated!
Just curious - what tip did you use for the large cacti? I don't think you used the wrong tip per se; I just used a very, very stiff icing (with a small #101S or a #264 tip, I believe) so that the "spines" of the cacti retained lots of definition and didn't get too tall/deep. I also staggered my piping of them, so wet "spines" wouldn't merge together. But there is nothing wrong with your softer piping - it actually fits your vintage vibe quite well!
One question: Where is the fondant on these pieces? It looks like you iced the cylinder sides, so was it just used for some molded succulents?
Again, super nice job as always with your signature vintage flair!
I really like this display of cookie vases, Petra @Petra Florean. You have inspired by Julia’s project but I can see how you put your own spin in each pot. I am so drawn to the cylinder pot, it may be the color you have used to airbrush it or the cookie you have used to cover the seam. I also liked the idea to use a contoured daisy cookie for the pedestal of the other pot. So clever. Thank you for sharing pictures of the process and the of the tool you used.

Thank you very much dear @Julia M. Usher once again for huge opportunity to really challenge ourselves!I was actually out of my secure, couse I said Petra you have to try another dough, which can be used perfectly for 3Dconstructions .So I was not sure how it will goes, but becouse I follow your instruction step by step everything was fine.
I used #104 for piping and my icing wasen't so stiff, also green and orange as well!Fonfant dark green small succulents I cutted 2 small flowers with the gren plastic cutter ,you can see on firt collage photo 2nd up,and I turned the petals up and glued one inside second,so I get a small succulent.

Your tip size may have been too big. I found that even a 101 got a bit too large for me, and it was easy for the spines to fall sideways into others. But, again, they look softer that way, which really does fit your aesthetic well.

Many many thanks and maybe I'm tiresome but THANK YOU for an advantage you generously gave us . I feel very grateful❤️
Awesome cacti dear Petra @Petra Florean!! Realistic cacti are difficult to create and you've done an amazing job. I love the embossed cookies with a whitewash over the pots. Your work is always creative and unique. You did that again with this challenge entry my dear cookie friend!! Wonderful work ❤️❤️❤️ Hugs...
