I wanted to use the Pantone color of this year, the LIVING CORAL. Besides, I mixed the loft style and minimal art.
These royal icing bricks were made for a larger project. This gave me the idea to make a gingerbread brick that was a secret hiding place in the wall, a „brick box”. I tried to reflect the effect of demolition, the effect of recyclable, efflorescence bricks.
In the past months, we had a very rainy weather, so it was very difficult to work with gingerbread. But at last I finished it.
Edit... Technique TUTORIAL brick/concrete, crumpled paper, mortar, etc.
Love these @PUDING FARM !! You completely captured the look and feel of bricks with this work. The coral is a gorgeous color...love it . You've gotten the distressed look down pat with these! Great photography, too.
Your work is always creative and this is no exception. I love these ❤️❤️❤️

I am grateful for your lovely comment, @Cookies Fantastique! That’s very kind of you! I am glad you like the photos and the color! 🧡
What a creative idea this is! I really like the idea of a "secret box." I think that you did some masterful microplaning of those cookie parts! The moving side of your secret box seems to fit into its slot really, really well, which is quite impressive. The realistic looks of these bricks is also remarkable. This is a great addition to the challenge!
