I made this cookie a bit large (the size of a cake). The logo was done as a royal icing transfer. Each colour was piped separately and allowed to dry. I piped the lines using the same colour for texture and to add interest. I then flooded in between each colour with white icing. The icing was thick but unfortunately, it started to form craters where each section crossed. I also found the white did not look as "tidy" as I would have liked. I solved both problems by piping white lines over top. I think the white lines compliment the lines used in the rest of the logo and give the overall appearance a sharp, crisp look.

Wow! This cookie makes me want to visit Canada! Perfect everywhere! Flooding, straight lines, logos .... how could you flood that big cookie smoothly?
Thank you, Ryoko! You are so kind. If you ever come to Canada I will have to make sure to teach you how I pipe my lines! For this big cookie, I outlined with a no. 3 tip. It was a large area to flood and I didn't want the outer edges to start drying while I was still piping the inner part, so I used a spoon and scooped icing all over the cookie. I then used my scribe where needed and gently shook it to even it out. I used a regular flood consistency.

Thank you, Lisa! I wish I could say how long it took but I did this a little at a time over several days, so can't say for certain. I know it took a couple of hours to mix the colors just right (they photographed darker than they are). But I think if I were to do this again, it might take a few hours - I'm a slow piper.
