I'm still totally in love with creating roses! This arrangement consists of a large cookie (stacked 3 times) made from butter cookie dough. In the background the pink rose is a real rose (for size comparison). This time I worked with white and whole milk modeling chocolate as well as with marzipan. I think you can tell the difference by the sheen of the chocolate. Modeling chocolate is new territory for me. I searched for and found a German tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KMwXEk1hQMA Here the modeling chocolate is made from chocolate and honey. Strangely enough, I had trouble with the milk chocolate. It was terribly sticky! I let everything stand for one day and the next day simply kneaded the remaining cocoa butter from the white chocolate into the milk chocolate. Then it worked (puh!). However, with room temperature still 25 ° C, everything melted again quickly ... I keep putting them in the freezer. You can best see it on the 2 small white roses.
Flower types: Roses, Petunias, Daisies
Media: the big rose and everything green is marzipan everything else white and whole milk modeling chocolate, dusted with cocoa powder I processed the roses with my homemade powder paint (disadvantageous, because too coarse)
My inspiration: try other media than fondant and gumpaste! my summary: For me, the marzipan was best processed into roses! I'll keep trying ... I now have a "rose splean" ... !! 👍🏻
I absolutely adore roses too, and they are such a wonderful flower to recreate in any type of edible art form. You flowers turned out beautifully despite the warm weather. The large rose, in particular, is shaped beautifully. There really is a sense of delicacy that adds to the realism.
Oh wow Gabi!!! What a fabulous design @Icingsugarkeks . Your rose is gorgeous my dear! I love that you inserted a real rose in the background of the photography set up to give us the impression of size between real and what you created. Great idea. I enjoy working with modeling chocolate and have found it pretty easy for molding purposes. I purchased a product called "Hot Hands" modeling chocolate. After making my own (which didn't turn out as hoped) I decided to break down and buy something more usable. LOL. Mine was a disaster!!
Your additional pictures really help to see the dimension of the arrangement. Your roses are so realistic and absolutely gorgeous my dear . I love making roses! I find them relaxing and so fun. Looks like you enjoy making them too ❤️❤️. I've not worked with marzipan before and have thought about trying it many times. One of these days...I'm so glad you found a German tutorial. Isn't it amazing what's available when you do some searching?! Incredible work my dear ❤️❤️❤️ Hugs...
Wow Gabi, you’re unstoppable!!!! So many beautiful presentations!! Each so unique and gorgeous!👏👏👏♥️
Thank you so much my dear cookie friend, but I have now a "roses-splean"... 😂 I love your wafer flowers, dear Heather! Thanks again!! ❤️😘❤️@Heather Bruce Sosa

Oh my dear, dear Carol, i don't even know how to appreciate your long comment? !! I'm very happy!!! Many, many Thanks my cookie friend!!! ❤️😘 I think marzipan is wonderful for modeling! It sticks very easily, but it is very stable !!Although it is greasy, it is quite easy to color it with gel paints.I mix the color with the powdered sugar and then mix the whole thing with the marzipan.Works wonderfully !!With the modeling chocolate, I was amazed that the white chocolate worked straight away, only the milk chocolate stuck terribly and was not stable either. But I was just able to save her with the cocoa butter ...

😂😂😂Take a rest now and recover, you’ll need energy for the next challenge!😂😂♥️
I love this dear Gabi @Icingsugarkeks. wonderful work. I think it is very inspiring that you pushed yourself to try different mediums. And the results are terrific. I'm not very experienced with modeling chocolate but I definitely have it on my to do list. You're inspiring me!!❤️😘

At least I wanted to try it, yes, Lisa. It was just too warm for the chocolate and then the warm hands ... But marzipan is my favorite. The gumpaste too. Thank you so much dear Lisa!! ❤️😘@LisaF
Wow! My dear cookie friend, @Icingsugarkeks another wonderful flower arrangement of yours. All of your submissions are so beautiful. And you do many experiments each time. 💚💛🧡🤎🌼😘
Wow, how many entries did you make for this challenge, Gabi? You are amazing❣️ You handle the media I have never tried before and I couldn't even think about mazipan and modeling chocolate. It sounds stressful for me to handle modeling chocolate in this humid and hot weather but I would like to try when it gets cooler.

Oh, Thank you so much dear Ryoko!! ❤️😘❤️ I think marzipan or chocolate is cooler because you don't need glue. For stronger colors, I would recommend gumpaste.I think everyone has to try it for themselves. Here too I had my difficulties with the weather. I then made the flowers smaller and there was a much better hold. And I know you can do it all Ryoko !!! @Ryoko ~Cookie Ave.

Marzipan and chocolate! There are so many things I want to do after seeing many beautiful things and I just keep forgetting.... I should make a to-do list! Before I forget, I make to-do list now and the first one is marzipan, Gabi. Thank you.
