This is my entry for this amazing challenge. I always had a difficult relationship in piping royal icing strings on a cookie but I wanted to give it a try and see if I was able to achieve a good result. I piped my stringwork pattern on 3 cookies (of 8 and 12 cm) using a PME tip 0 and layering more lines directly onto the surface following several directions in order to obtain a "crochet" doily pattern. On the bigger cookie I also used black royal icing piped on gold base to play with color contrasts.

Since it has been my first attempt with stringwork I'm pretty satisfied and definitely fallen in love with tip 0😂

Really beautiful work Manuela @MANUELA CANTÙ! I love the simplicity of colors and the intricate piping on each cookie. Hard to believe this is your first try with stringwork!! Fabulous job my dear cookie friend ❤️❤️❤️ Hugs...

That is certainly a lot of lines and some beautiful designs. The contrasting colors look great. How long did it take to pipe each cookie? Did you sketch the designs out first or did you improvise as you went along?

Thank you so much Christine! It took an afternoon more or less.. I had to wait the white coat of the cookie base to get dry before starting. I made a quick sketch but at the end I improvised all designs😊
