This is the exact same pattern as my previous cookie, except that it is piped in reverse order. In this case, the outside lines extending from each point were piped first so that the red lines end up on top. If you compare the two cookies, you can see that piping sequence can make a big difference when determining the final outcome!
You are right I hope you don't mind me saying that I actually like the second one better the blue color icing kind of makes it look as though there is a light around the cookie I find it really neat to look at I presume you don't drink because the lines are so straight you do amazing work. Lol

Thank you! I don't mind you saying at all! I do like the second one better too. (Although, to be fair to the first cookie, I did figure out how to better edit my photo to make the colours "pop" on this second cookie.) And definitely no drinking - or coffee - just very shallow breathing and a steady hand!

Gorgeous cookie, Christine! And yes, the second one is my favorite as well. Side-by-side it shows a more discernible pattern of a star with glowing tips and blue auro around it . Very dramatic really! Love it! Love your precise work!
You choose appropriate names for both cookies. It is amazing how the same pattern can make a big difference! In the "rainbow" cookie I can appreciate all the work of piping which actually is the same but is kind of hidden in this second one. In the "fireworks" the colors really pop out. In the "rainbow" one there is the depth given by the circles which is mesmerizing.
Another interesting thing is the optical effect given by the two cookies when I looked at them from the distance, as in the two small pic of the attachment in the comment. In the "firework" cookie there is a beautiful daisy that can't be noticed in the close-up pic.

Thanks, Sophie. As I look at the cookies, the first one looks better in real life (still not as vibrant as the second) but I think I also got really lucky with the lighting and photo editing for this shot!

I saw the flower in the second cookie too but I wanted to post this picture on an angle for effect (and also because I seem to post a lot of shots from the top). When I looked at the angled picture, it changed to look like a beautiful and colourful firework display.
I learned about reversing patterns when I piped my mosaic cookies - which actually started off as an experiment. I know a lot of people use their leftover icing to make more cookies. I like to use my leftover icing to doodle!

Thank you for sharing this shot too! Very interesting!
