A flower cookie platter, prepared as a congratulations gift. All of the cookies are decorated with royal icing and the vase cookies are hand-cut.

I think it’s a great alternative to fresh flowers and cupcake bouquets. What do you think?

Very kind of you, thanks!

Dear @La Shay by Ferda Ozcan may I ask which color did you use for purple flowers?! It’s simply amazing, I don’t think to have it because electric purple, burgundy, fuchsia Americolor are all similar but not the same to yours! Thank you very much, love this set a lot, congrats 🌸

Hi Evelin,

Thanks a lot for your sweet words 💕 I personally like purple/lilac colours a lot. Anything purple in it looks great for me 😀

I used Claret from Sugarflair. It’s a paste colour! Lovely colour but let me warn you that Sugarflaire’s dark colours are not very intense. You have to add lots of paste into your royal icing to achieve that beautiful purple which makes your icing more softer than usual. Because Sugarflaire’s paste colours have a good amount of glycerin in them that the icing doesn’t dry hard rock when you use more paste to colour the icing.

I recently saw Rainbow Progel’s Claret colour in the shop, but haven’t tried it yet. Don’t know if it gives the same colour but worth trying as I am not totally happy with the Sugarflaire.

Hope that helps. By the way, I love your using of pinks in your Hallowen cookie sets. They are amazingly beautiful 💕💕💕

Thank you so much for your quick reply! Rainbow Dust Progels have same ingredients as Sugarflair, not suitable with RI at all!!! I always use Sugairflar dust colors to paint accents on dry icing with dry brushes and they are superb, thanks to your precious advice I am not going to buy the pastes. I go ahead using Americolor pinks, shades are divine but consistency is more similar to a granular gel than gel, hard to work with but still the best solution in the end! Hugs, Evelin 💗

I started experimenting with liquid colourings Evelin. Seems better with royal icing. Not many colour options though!
