The white bear was going to get the fish that was in block of ice and the ice started melting.
What I wanted to do this time is to make my own mold of Isomalt.
This is made with 3 cookies and one royal icing transfer.
The base cookie covered with white icing.

The fish which is before locked in the isomalt is this
I could use silicon mold to make ice block of Isomalt but I wanted to try to make the mold by myself.
On the aluminum foil I put non-stick cooking sheet for oven. The cooking sheet does not hold the shape, but on the other hand the aluminum foil does. Isomalt sticks to aluminum foil and it cannot be removed.
I made the shape with my hand and put it into a small pot. I put some more wrinkled aluminum foil around the mold to hold it.
I poured melted Isomalt about 20% depth of the mold then put fish cookie.
While I hold the fish (head down), I added water around my mold that makes Isomalt hardened faster.
When the fish cookie does not move anymore, I added more isomalt.
It seems good but I needed a bigger pot for this project. When the isomalt reached to the tail of the fish, melted Isomalt started cooking the tail of fish. The pot is too small and the water didn’t reach to fish tail.
I like the shape of my Isomalt ice block but I cannot see fish well since the surface of ice block is too rough. I hope this ice block looks natural.
Since this is "Practice Bakes Perfect Challenge", I really should post my "perfect" cookie. But I thought somebody might try to make Isomalt mold like me and if I post this clip now, what I have done might help other before closing date.
it was fun thinking and trying this and that. I have made some Isomalt blocks and they looked O.K. But when the melted Isomalt started cooking my fish, sizzling sound and burnt smell...... I got panicked.

And the fact that you were able to suspend the fish cookie within the isomalt chunk is even more incredible! This is just a fantastic entry. I learned a lot while I handle Isomalt and mostly from my failures. It was fun to think what I can do with Isomalt and cookie. Thank you for challenges.
