I love orchids. For this cookie I wanted to add a 3D element like a sugar flower. So I painted the flowers and added the center part of the flower with molded gumpaste. Thank you Julia @Julia M. Usher, Manu @Manu biscotti decorati and Laura @Laura Saporiti.
Congrats on your second entry @Zeena! What a nice idea and what a gorgeous close up picture. I am so happy to see that you keep practicing and producing beautiful entries. You make me will to try to paint somenting too. You said in your previous entry that you never did any watercolor paint on cookies. Did you encounter any difficulties or is ther any advice or tip you can share with other cookier that are still on the fence?

Thank you Manu @Manu biscotti decorati. When I see all the effort you put into teaching this technique, I just am driven to try to perfect it (oh I wish I could paint like Laura @Laura Saporiti). You should try painting too Manu I bet it will be a masterpiece. I never have painted in watercolor on any medium prior to this. I think the dust colors you use is vital. I used the colors I had at hand. Also important is the paint brushes. Quality paint brushes helps a lot. I tend to get too heavy with my colors ( I mean make it darker), that is something I have to work on. As Laura said start lighter and move towards dark. I had fun learning this technique. Thank you.
