I watched the recommended videos on Australian string work to apply it to these cookies . This was my first attempt at this technique.... it’s definitely for the experts lol. I also stared at Evelyndecoras beautiful string art on her cookies and all I can say is I need lessons ! I don’t know how she does it but I tried the best I could on the top . Came out more like a basket weave but I tried !

Your colors and the way you have applied them are really stunning. And your stringwork is so expertly piped - I would not have guessed that this was your first attempt at this technique. There are so many wonderful elements to this entry. I would love to know if you sketched out your design first, and which part you found to be the most challenging.

Yes I actually made a rough sketch...I never tried to design a cookie . I really am not creative I am just good at copying. Originally it had a dome on top. I have always loved watching Julia Usher make dome cookies and wanted to incorporate this , but it didn’t look good to me when I put it together . I found the stacking string technique difficult. I have stared at evilyndecor designs and can’t figure out how she does it . My goal is for more lessons......with all you experts. I have been doing this since retrieving from my business and I love it. I just watch you tube and keep trying!!! 😀
