Sharing Cookie Love and Knowledge

What a neat idea to make a quilt of all the entries, Christine @Bakerloo Station! I came to this challenge a bit late, as I actually didn’t plan on entering. But curiosity had me read the challenge rules last week anyway, and well, I just couldn’t let this one slide by.

But I read the blog in a hurry and not very carefully. I went to bed thinking we’re supposed to cookiefy what this site means to us. My brain went into overdrive that night and came up with this cookie. Most of it still applies to general “cookie connections” as well, though.

The idea here was to symbolize sharing cookie knowledge and cookie love, thus the “cookie” shaped like an apple-heart. The sharing itself is illustrated with the sharing icon:

The hands, in addition, stand for work done manually.

And the tree: We’re connected at the roots of our passion for cookie decorating. Through sharing our cookie love and knowledge - as well as participating in PBP challenges, of course -, we grow steadily and strong in our cookie decorating skills like a tree.

I made use of the color challenge (warm/cool colors) here. In that challenge, we were allowed to use only either-or, but here I used a cool accent color to all the warm tones in this cookie (emphasizing my knitting technique a bit ).

Superb, dear @iSugarfy (aka swissophie)!! You did an excellent job, so near and perfect. Knitting is one of your specialties, undoubtedly. But the whole concept of what you expressed in this cookie is so true! 🥰

WOW!!! Wieder eine traumhafte Arbeit mehr..!!! ❤️😘 Das ist sooo wunderschön mit den Händen, den exakten Winkeln und der gestrickte Pullover sowieso!! Deine Arbeiten sind immer der beste Beweis, dass du nicht nur wundervoll dekorieren kannst, Mathematik und Geometrie sind auch notwendig...

You know, when this challenge was released, two words came to my mind, one was love and the other sharing. I presented the first one and for “sharing” I had also thought of open hands, but didn’t get time to create it. So I’m so glad you did, and to perfection! Thank you❤️❤️

As always, your work is precise, detailed and perfectly executed! I love that you brought in your "knitting stitch" technique with the cool blue of the sweater. Your design,  piping and flooding of the hands looks real.
