Lot of roses left from the Challenge and a chance to practice. Still lot to practice with outlining though. I won't have the chance to see Silvia so she will receive this card on her B-Day. This is why the name is on two lines, because I liked  better the outcome of the card. Next time fresh cookies.

I am so proud I nailed the color of the  royal icing leaves and with the thin royal icing I painted the edges of the letters. They are handcut from the font "Oliver".Royal icing for the leavesClose ups

Ci piacciono proprio tanto!!! Quel verde foglia è impressionante: l'hai ricreato identico!!!

Grazie Evelin, grazie ragazze. Ancora qualche problemino con i bordi, ma con un po' di pratica...

I love these, so clean and sharp yet beautifully feminine.

Thank you, LeeAnn. Need to practice a little bit more on outlining, but little by little...

What a beautiful set! You truly matched the color of those leaves. BTW, my birthday is in November *wink*

Thank you, Leoni.

Mmmm... so I was thinking to a set with some Japanese culture involved, a little bit of Tolkien, cats, gumpaste, piped flowers "RH. Bake style"... oh my, you said that as a joke and my brain started working!

Brava, l'effetto finale è di grande armonia!

Grazie Flo. The light in these rainy days is not helping taking good pictures. The cookies are really white and I couldn't capture the contrast with the hot pink backdrop.

These are so feminine, and your placement of the roses is perfect.

Thank you, Christine. I choose this font because the shape of the letters was ideal to place some roses. Actually I put more roses than planned on all the letters except for the L. And also the letters "i" in the name Silvia are in the right place to give a certain simmetry no matter if the name (the cookies) is displayed on one or two lines. My hand is still not enough precise though, I absolutely should start practicing tracing on some paper...

Beautiful, Manu . Your roses are just so gorgeous, and yes, you nailed that leave color . Love that font too!

Thank you, Sonja. Actually I had planned something very different but I didn't have enough time to make it, while this was easier, as recently I made a lot of "name" cookies and roses (what? Easier and roses in the same sentence?) And, as I said, her name and the font I choose were a good combination.

Let your brain keep on working, you are on the right track

Absolutely beautiful Manu!!! I just love your use of flowers interspersed with the dots. Did you hand cut the letters or are they cookie cutters? I've never seen these before...they're perfect Awesome work...

Thank you Carol. I did hand cut the letters, after drawing a rough template by using Camera Lucida. Then I filed them a little, but I haven't found a zester little enough yet, so I couldn't be more precise on the base of the letters. I had to add the dots on the "I" to place the roses with the long stem. I wish I had the cutters, but on the other hand I don't want to gather too many gadgets for the moment, as I am still in the experimental phase.

These are so beautiful, Manu! So where do I sign up for my Bday?!

LOL!

Zara, you know what? I like this idea to bake cookies for fellow cookiers! Zara is the right name, short and with letters big enough to be either decorated or painted. Yours should be colorful and full of flowers even if your Bday falls at the end of October. BTW, it will be one week before the one of Leoni@Laegwen who started this joke before you

Thanks for your compliments!
