When it comes to marbled cookies, all I've ever seen are two techniques: a lone toothpick dragged through wet icing and a cookie dipped in pre-marbled icing. Nice, but I think there are more creative ways than that. My inspiration comes from the techniques used to marble paper and from the mirror glaze techniques that are used on cakes. Attached are photos of marbled royal icing transfers that I have been experimenting with. Everything, including the heart cookies, is completely in the experimental stages, but I thought I'd share what I'm up to.

All your experiments are very interesting Christine! Amazing new techniques!!!

  •   today I'm finding it to be a learning day here on cookie connection .  I found some  new techniques I have not seen  and are eager to try out. Your cookies are one of them I to love to experiment. I can always eat the ones that don't work out.  Mmmmm!!!. Let's try that one again. Don't you just love mistakes

Thanks Carol. I think I spend more time than I should experimenting. It does not make for a lot of cookies that I can post, but I am learning a lot!

I feel the same...the muse is not there and so I keep experimenting. Not loving all that I'm doing but it's a learning experience with new ideas and trying different techniques . It's something I love about everything I see here!!
