I think I have made this comment before about one of your other transfers, but I can’t believe that is a transfer! It’s amazing. How big is it? What do you pipe it onto? An acetate sheet? And then what do you use to afix it to the cookie? Just royal icing? So many questions hahaha

Great work dear Tina. Fine details. ❤️ The Santa has even real nostrils!   @Tina at Sugar Wishes

I’m amazed to see myself evolving over the many years of cookie decorating. It’s taken me long enough. 🤣

Thanks Christine, you have been one of my Best encouraging cookie friends over the many years and I so appreciate you.
Santa is 4.5” piped with a harder peaked consistency royal icing onto an acetate sheet.

He’s 💯 Royal Icing.

I simply place a stack of about 10 napkins gently on the dried transfer, flip the transfer onto the napkin which immediately peels away from the acetate and adhere it to the cookie upside down. Of course the cookie has already been flooded, dried and then I pipe a very even layer of royal as the glue.
Smaller transfers can be handled less gingerly.
I hope this answers your questions.

Great details! I share all of @Bakerloo Station's questions!

I’m trying to grow slowly but surely. I listened to your interview on Cookie-a-thon with Nancy and what you said about knowing and understanding techniques resonated with me. Nothing is difficult, it’s the knowing how and then making it your own by practicing.
It’s taken me a long time to really understand dimensional piping. I’m still learning.

I hope I answered all your questions.

Merry Christmas, Julia. Thank you.

Fantastic! I have never tried to do such a large transfer. How long did it take to dry before you could remove it from the acetate sheet?

This was only 4.5 inches. I’ve done 7 inch transfers . The larger ones are more prone to break in two hence my gingerly means of getting it glued to the cookie.
I dry my transfer in the dehydrator for about an hour on cool air then let it sit overnight before I start painting it.

Dear @Tina at Sugar Wishes Absolutely fantastic work and really with huge interest readed how you created this magical 🎅,well done and thanks for describing and explaining !!!
