Yes, she's back! It's @Kim Damon this month with this delightful early Easter cookie art!
As you probably know, Kim has been a prolific contributor of site art over the last few years, and, as such, has already been the subject of one of our in-depth Cookier Close-up interviews - one of the perks of being a site artist! So, if you don't yet know her, please read that Close-up and her bio below - you're sure to fall in love with her colorful cookies that often feature dimensional fondant art.
Kim Damon has been making decorated cookies for six years now. Kim joined Cookie Connection just after her first introduction to fondant and royal icing on a cookie in September 2014. She immediately began participating in the site's Practice Bakes Perfect challenges, where she was introduced to a wide variety of decorating techniques and skills, and has since strived to always create unique designs.
Kim's love of children, God, and nature often finds its way into her creations. Kim typically uses photography and pen-and-ink sketches to develop her cookie visions before bringing them to life on actual cookies. Self-taught, Kim has cultivated an unconventional style that often uses many mediums and techniques - fondant, royal icing, wafer paper, airbrushing, and watercolor-style painting - to build dimensional images. Whether painting, sculpting, or airbrushing, Kim enjoys discovering new ways to translate images into sugar art and always finds a point of view that surprises and delights her cookie friends.
In Kim's first year of cookie-making, she won a ticket to CookieCon. There, it was suggested that she start a cookie Facebook page (with a business name) to refer new cookie friends to her work. Kim asked the oldest of her six children what to name her new cookie business, and he immediately announced, “Mom Makes Cookies!” Although Kim wears many hats as a wife, an artist, a daycare owner, and a friend, the title of “Mom” is one of her favorites, so "Mom Makes Cookies" stuck.

Interested in seeing your name in lights and having your cookies featured on Cookie Connection?! I thought so! I would love to see your cookie art here too! If you plan to submit, please bear in mind that I am seeking art for April 2020 and June 2020 and beyond. I already have cookie art slated for May 2020.
It's easy to submit! Just read these posts here and here. Remember: Site artists not only get their work featured prominently for a full month, but they also get profiled in a forum post (like this one) and in an in-depth Cookier Close-up interview. All considered, it's a lot of great free PR in exchange for photo sharing!
Thanks in advance for considering a contribution to the site!
