First off, please bear with me . . . I've had perhaps more champagne than I should have had before writing this post. But, hey, I'm entitled . . . it's my 22nd wedding anniversary after all! Yes, that's me and hubs (pictured center) at our seaside wedding reception in Maine back in 1995! Wow, how time flies! Between then and now, several thousand wedding cakes and cookies have come and gone through my bakery and house, making it impossible to wedge myself back into that dress, but hubs and I are still going strong, for better, for worse, and through thick and thin (double entendre, intended 
)!
Apparently, I'm not the only one who likes wedding cookies! They are one of the most popular, if not THE most popular, clip sets on this site, so their preeminence, combined with nostalgia about my own wedding, spurred me to feature these special cookies tonight. I would have gladly forgone the cake at my wedding for any one of the gorgeous cookies on our hot list* this week! Just as every bride and groom are unique, so too are these cookies. They appear as cakes, elaborate hearts, star-spangled delights, and even brides in traditional Mexican attire.
