I decided to use the leftover icing I had from the last Practice Bakes Perfect challenge. I mixed a few of the colours together, and added orange and yellow to the mix.  I piped the centers in opposing colours for contrast. I wanted this cookie to be colourful with just the right balance of colour.

WOW, Christine, this is brill! So beautiful, love the colours and your straight lines are perfect. We have a saying here that such peope are like machines, what they do is so perfect it's like made by a machine

Perrrrrrrrfect!!!  and beautiful!!

May I ask how do you keep leftover icing?  Do you freeze them?

Thank you, Ryoko!!! First, let me say that my leftover icing is ONLY for cookies not meant to be eaten.

I like to make very thick and colour-concentrated batches of icing and store them in the refrigerator. This way, I can take what I need and thin it to the desired consistency. I can also lighten the dark, colour-concentrated icing to the shade I like. I find that this way, the thicker icing tends to keeps longer and I'm less likely to run out of a colour.

Thank you for such a wonderful compliment, Zara!

This is so gorgeous Christine!! I just love all the vibrant colors. How big is the cookie? It looks like it must have taken you a long time to do all of this intricate work!  Awesome work, as always ♥

Oh, thank you.  I have never stored colored icing.  That way I can keep colored one for Challenges, especially black icing.   Good idea.  Thank you again.

Thank you, Teresa! I practice a lot but my lines really are not perfect. I will use a scribe to straighten them out. Also, I try to make my dots line up perfectly so that everyone thinks my lines are straight!  I promise I will try to find the time to make a tutorial to show you.

Thank you, Carol! This cookie is exactly 5" x 5" and it took about three hours to make of the course of a week - whenever I could find the time! ♥
