It’s a bright sunny day and perfect for laundry!  🌞

Since it’s getting hotter here and I do laundry more, I really do not mind doing  laundry thing because my washing machine takes care of them. How lovely! 😂 However, I am not good at ironing.😅 Wrinkled garments on my ironing board gave me the idea for this Challenge.

1.  Using parchment paper to imprint

Tie-dye T-shirt: A piece of wrinkled parchment paper is placed on wet-on-wet T-shirt cookie.

Sun:  Folded parchment paper with a whole in center is placed on wet-on-wet sun cookie

2. Using fondant embosser to imprint

Dress: Flood dress cookie then wait until the icing is not sticky but not yet harden on the surface, the fondant embosser is gently placed on the dress cookie. Toothpaste consistency icing is used.

First I spread Saran wrap then placed the fondant embosser but the Saran wrap made wrinkles more than I wanted. Secondly I cut and spread plastic bag for food over the cookie because I thought I could handle the wrinkles with less difficulties but the outcome was not really what I wished. So I changed the method and placed the fondant embosser directly on flooded icing.

3. Using tooth brush to imprint  (I used a brand new one 😂 and toothpaste consistency icing🤣)

Ugly sweater: Wait until the flooded icing is not sticky and not harden the surface then the tooth brush is used to make the texture

Initially I put cut out food plastic bag on the flooded cookie and used the tooth brush on but it didn’t work well, so I used a tooth brush to imprint directly on the icing.

4. Using silicon mold for chocolate to transfer imprinted icing

Giraffe face on ugly sweater: Just in case I might break when I would take the transfer out, (well I broke 3 of them…) I made 4 giraffe transfer. The silicon mold on the photo was flipped over just to show the giraffe face.

5. Using corrugate craft tape and fork

For the trunk of trees: After flooded icing, place food plastic sheet or Saran wrap and press cut corrugate craft tape and fork to imprint (actually the corrugate was not really visible, a fork works!)

6.  Using aluminum foil to imprint

For leaves of trees: After the trunk parts dried completely, some shades of green icing are flooded. Then Saran wrap is spread on it. I thought if I use aluminum foil directly on the icing, it may break the icing when it is removed. (I really don’t know, I haven’t tried it) For just in case, I used Saran wrap. Aluminum foil is easier to make mold than parchment paper (and also I wanted to try aluminum foil, too) I shape the aluminum foil then put it on the Saran wrap.

I had been looking for the tools to make imprint.  I just thought those tools not for food can be used if I also use Saran wrap or plastic sheet for food together.  Tooth brush and tooth paste consistency icing 🤣 made me smile.  I keep this tooth brush for my cookie from now on.

I love how you didn't just try the technique in one abstract way, but wove different ones into the fabric of the story told with the cookies - with each technique specifically selected to best express each item. Well done!

This is such a fantastic entry. I like how everything was done with intention and purpose. Each texture and texturing technique is perfectly suited to its use - especially the toothbrush used on the toothpaste consistency icing. 😄 It would be hard to pick a favorite cookie since they're all so interesting and well done but I especially like the marbling of the tie-dye T-shirt.

Thank you @Julia M. Usher  I am curious and wonder how to imprint with things that are not made of silicon.  Some people did with plastic texture sheet (for fondant) but it didn't work for me..... maybe the thickness and the size of icing???

Probably I try with left-over icing.... I still want to make pebbles, garden fence and some flowers.... I just cannot reach how but  soooo curious.

Amazing Ryoko!  I love this so much.  Absolutely stunning!  Thank you for sharing all of your steps and techniques.❤️

Hi @LisaF   Thank you.  Whatever make me wonder whether I can use them as tools... haunted 😅

Awwww... Ryoko, that is soooo cute and a absolutely gorgeous idea!!
The sun, the dress and the trees - all different pattern!! Simply beautiful dear Ryoko!! ❤️  @Ryoko ~Cookie Ave.

Hi Gabi there!  Thank you @Icingsugarkeks   My favorite one was tie-dye T-shirt, that reminds me the class to make some tie-dye cotton fabric when I was kid.   It was very wrinkled.   All kids say "wow"!  and our fingers got blue colors....  good old days, hey I am getting old to think back?

Hi @Sweet Prodigy   Thank you.  See?  My favorite one is tie-dye T-shirt, too.   It looks just like the one right after taking out the threads,  very wrinkled.

Plastic containers for food to take out, wrapper for candies, very thin aluminum foil can be detailed imprint......   these can emboss....  I still wonder.

Actually I have tried woven bag that I made with corrugate craft tape, knitted things.. they didn't work at that time but maybe if the consistency  of icing and thickness of plastic sheet for food are right, they could come out O.K.

Oh , excuse me, I need to confess, my favorite part was toothpaste consistency icing and toothbrush.  🤣😂 I keep telling myself, "this is a brand new toothbrush"  and that made me smile.

What amazing work dear Ryoko @Ryoko ~Cookie Ave.!! I love how you created the different textures on each of the cookies. Your creativity continues to inspire and impress me. What a great idea to use the embosser for the dress. It works great and looks perfect. Thank you again for all the pictures of the process and the recap of how the work went all along the way . You're awesome my dear friend ❤️❤️❤️ Hugs...

Hi Carol @Cookies Fantastique   Thank you very much for you kind words.

It was fun to try many things for imprint but I crossed my fingers for outcomes.   And I am still trying with fondant emboss sheet made of plastic but somehow it doesn't work for me....  still curious 😄

Love the curiosity Ryoko @Ryoko ~Cookie Ave.!! It usually leads to wonderful creativity. I've seen you grow as a cookie artist in so many ways my dear. This is another example of that growth . You amaze me in that you're never afraid to try something new. It takes courage to get out of your comfort zone to do that. And I've seen this courage from you time and time again. I just love your work my dear cookie friend ❤️❤️❤️ Lots of Hugs...
