I don’t remember how long ago Julia first posted her candelabra video but it completely blew me away. I knew I wanted to attempt it (or something similar) but never got around to it. I was so thrilled when she offered a virtual class for it. I knew I was finally going to do the project! Believe me when I tell you, the class did not disappoint. I learned so much. Not everything went as planned (the stamping was a fiasco and those pine cones almost broke me) and it took me forever (I was very, very slow!). But I am so pleased with the final result. It was such a good lesson in process, planning and the importance of details. I have been so inspired by Julia, Samantha @Aproned Artist Manu @Manu  Evelin  @Evelindecora and countless others on this site this year. I’m looking forward to next year, new projects and discovering where all the inspiration takes me. Thank you so much to everyone!

Wow 😍👏👏👏, incredible job!! Amazing! I do love this candelabra, I would be afraid of realizing a creation like that and you did it perfectly!! 👏👏👏

Thank you so much Elena. I definitely took my time with it, which was critical. I’m a corner cutter so I had to fight that urge!

OMG!! WOW!! Lisa, that's absolutely breathtaking!!! You will be the 2nd Julia!!
Really totally beautiful work!! ❤️ @LisaF

Lol! Far from it Gabi but thank you for your kind words. I will say, I did work very hard on this .  I definitely paid more attention to the details than I usually do. It was very good training for me. ❤️😘

Never stop amazing me with your work, dear Lisa! You’ve suddenly  bloomed. This is amazing. Your dedication and hard work shines through. Congratulations dear friend. And this is only the beginning!♥️

Thank you so much Heather. I do feel like I’ve turned a bit of a corner in terms of skill. I often remember once when I posted something and was rather self critical. You very kindly chastised me for being too tough on myself. I told my sister about it and she agreed with you.  Sometimes now when I am too self critical  she says “Don’t make me call Heather!” 🤣😂

WOW! (So sorry for the delayed response - just seeing this now.) You did such a super job with one of my more challenging projects. Your time and care really show! Thanks so much for sharing your results here - you should be super proud!

Thank you Julia. I AM quite tickled with myself. I took my time, redid, regrouped and did all sorts of troubleshooting. I learned a lot about my own patience and the various things I need to do mentally to enjoy the process. It was a really positive experience. ❤️😁😊

Wow!

Stunning!  I don't think I would have that much patience to do that!

Thank you so much Peg. I didn’t think I would have the patience either. I definitely had to work at it. Julia makes it all look easy - even the patience part!

Oh Lisa!!! WOW...incredible work my dear and how fun to participate in Julia's virtual class for this project. It's truly one of my favorites (it STILL blows me away ). A lot of work!!! But look at all the techniques you've learned and incorporated in this finished 3D piece. Your patience and commitment to the detail helped to make it even more amazing @LisaF!!!

Ahhhhh, those pinecones! I can well imagine the challenge they presented in this project. The beauty of virtual classes is that you can go at your own pace, right? I've considered enrolling in a virtual class but have yet to do it...there's so much that I know I'd learn!

I hope your Christmas was absolutely fabulous. Here's to 2023! ❤️❤️❤️ Hugs...

Thank you so much Carol. I highly recommend a virtual class, if you have the time. It’s always a nice group of participants. In my case, it forces me to set aside a specific time to focus on cookies, trying new techniques and tackling a project. Even if I have already tried some of the techniques, I always always learn something new.
I hope your Christmas was delightful as well. Fingers crossed for the new year!❤️😘🍪
