Lovely, Megan. I really appreciate the video view that shows all angles. In keeping with Rule #7, the judges and I would also appreciate knowing the following:

7. And because Cookie Connection is all about learning and sharing, I would love for you to share in the comments section under your entry what inspired your design, its meaning, and the ingredients, media, and techniques you used to create your gingerbread house. Remember: At least three (3) different techniques must be used.

So festine,so beautiful I feel like little child happy in magic Christmas time ,thank you for a beautiful video with all those nice details and music, really great holiday atmosphere

Oh Megan, what a beautiful entry! I love the bright and shiny colours you used. As you turn the house around you get a childlike feeling of surprise and expectation! Not missing out the reason of Christmas with the star upon the roof with a simple yet meaningful nativity scene and “Believe “ across the tiles. Excellent job, dear Megan! Merry and blessed Christmas to you♥️

In true 2020 fashion, my husband was positive for COVID (he had a mild case and is doing well), but for the protection of my customers, I cancelled my Christmas orders as we are quarantined until the 21st.  I decided to create this project as I love Christmas time and Christmas cookies. I wanted to capture the magic of Christmas in a house. The 3 techniques I used were I painted the gingerbread prior to baking with food gel to achieve the red and green naked cookies.  I then brushed them with corn syrup (for the shine), sprinkled with powdered sugar and sparkles for snowy effect. I used a snowflake stencil and royal icing for the snowflakes on the side. Using a bench scraper prior to baking, I added the brick effect to the roof.  I used melted sugar for the windows, and stamped fondant for the snow on the base. It was a fun project!

Thanks for this info. And so sorry about your husband, but glad his case is mild. COVID is dreadful when it hits hard.

This is such a wonderful gingerbread scene. You have definitely captured the magic of Christmas with this one! The wreath, the mistletoe, Santa and his sleigh, the nativity scene and the star, and so much more...it's all perfect. Excellent use of techniques - especially that roof. I love how your gingerbread house is full of life! And I am glad to hear that your husband is doing well.
