Here’s to maintaining some beauty in our lives at this very difficult time . . . Next up in my botanical series: dogwood, my favorite springtime flowering tree! This cookie is a deep dive into my latest fascination - contoured royal icing transfers - insofar as EVERY petal, leaf, branch, and bud is individually piped (or modeled) with royal icing and then shaped, dried, and airbrushed before being transferred to an iced cookie. A labor of love, for sure, but the end results are so satisfying. I hope you give it a try. But, above all, please stay home and stay safe!

Another wonderful masterpiece of yours! 🌸 Thank you for sharing. I'm sorry to hear about your YouTube channel. Hope they will fix it soon.
Thank you! And thanks for sharing my Facebook post earlier - I am hoping I can use all of those posts/shares as ammunition to recover the channel if they have any doubt about it belonging to me (others have run into trouble with this). So far not a word from them, so I am quite anxious.
I watched this tutorial with renewed excitement about the creative possibilities in cookie decorating. The genius of your work consistently blows me away, Julia @Julia M. Usher ❤❤. The look of your botanical designs is so fresh. They beautifully highlight your distinctive decorating style 😉. Love it and am eager to give the techniques a try ❤.

Thanks, Carol. Though I must say, much of the genius and inspiration for this flower series comes from @Manu biscotti decorati's water lily tutorial on this site. I've been making contoured royal icing pieces for years (as have so many others), but her water lilies really sparked me to take that technique and turn them into more types of flowers. In fact, I should go into this video's description on YouTube, and link back to Manu's tutorial, which I will do as soon as I can. THANK YOU AGAIN, MANU!

Ah yes! I remember Manu's @Manu biscotti decorati wonderful water lily tutorial. A truly inspired idea and so beautifully executed. Thank you, Manu, for the time, thought and thorough planning you put into each and every tutorial. I absolutely love them ALL ❤️. Be safe and well...both of you and your families!
