Part of a birthday set, these cookies were fun and gave me an opportunity to practice my airbrushing techniques. Unfortunately, there was way too much underspray even though some of that was intended....definitely not all! I found it difficult to be able to select the areas where I wanted the underspray as opposed to the clean lines (the center of the cookie with orange bow and the arching purple design that goes around the elongated brown and teal center).

I also wanted to create more of a "crushed" icing look on the purple section of the lower right side cookie. It didn't turn out as I had envisioned...I should have kept it more minimalistic than the overkill you see in the finished cookie. The client absolutely loved it. I suppose that's what matters most. However, my goal is to improve...I'm feeling somewhat stagnant right now. Perhaps it's time for a break?

It's always helpful for me to get away from decorating cookies for a bit when my designs are not feeling fresh or very creative.  However, it can be challenging to step back when my calendar is full. Overall I really liked the color scheme and how the embossed side of the elongated heart came out.

OMG! This colors, this pattern, this inventiveness!! Carol, I love your cookies as always!!  @Cookies Fantastique  โค๏ธ
