I was inspired by @Aproned Artist turtorial, https://cookieconnection.julia...-mom-s-garden-cookie to make this cookie for my husband's birthday.  He is a fine artist, and the year we met he gave me a painting of tulips and oranges.  I modeled this cookie after the painting, using @Aproned Artist techniques.  I made the tutorial cookie first!  I had a lot of trouble making the tulips out of RI, so I made them out of fondant.  The stems needed reinforcement, they drooped in the heat.  I wanted the whole thing to be edible, so I 'painted' the fondant stems with very thin RI.  It worked!   tulip cookiepainting and cookies

Oh wow. You did such a wonderful job. All the way around. I love the most that you had a few moments of adversity and found a way to make it work so beautifully. Really lovely.

Wow! This looks just like the picture @Shea!! You did such a wonderful job with the oranges. They look so real!! The leaves on the tulips are really well done. Love this so much ❤️

Thanks so much!  I received  high praise from my husband, the artist, that  the color of the leaves is perfect! I share that because I've learned over the years , don't argue with him about color, he knows what he is doing!
