Raised Love Note

I tried suspending cookies over base cookies with strings. I added a few thick stings because I had very low confidence (even though I'm sure that thin strings are enough to hold the cookies' weight). Practicing for this challenge was like walking on a rope for me but I feel the time and energy I spent for this was very useful.

How very clever to have created "I ♥ U" stringwork cookies. Your work looks so very delicate. Did you have to experiment with different icing consistencies to get the stringwork to hold?

Thank you very much. Yes, I did try a few consistencies and also had to do a lot of corrections using a tooth pick. I did not add any decorative piping to the edges because I feared that the strings will break. Anyway I learned a lot through this challenge

Stringwork is definitely a technique that requires a lot of learning, experimenting and, of course, making corrections. Your raised love note cookies look fantastic, and I am glad that you learned a lot from it. ♥
