I’m going to share one more stained-glass piece because of @Ryoko ~Cookie Ave..  I too had a problem with gelatin.  After my not so spectacular, since deleted entry, I discovered I was out of Isomalt.  So, I decided to play around with gelatin.  I have used gelatin before though the memory is a bit foggy about exactly how and when.  I was able to find some instructions in my files though and watched the Shelby Bower video linked by @Zeena.  I thought I ended up with an okay piece.  When I picked it up, however, the gelatin completed pulled away from the gingerbread.  Then the gingerbread crumbled.  I must say, it was all rather dramatic! Bad words were said.

I decided to redo the piece with Isomalt.  The main picture here is Isomalt.  The steps below are the gelatin.  The process was basically the same.  I airbrushed with bronze for the Isomalt version.  I’ve also included a couple of additional pictures of the light on the Isomalt.

This is a nice piece with lovely colors.

In the stained glass fire place screen i made i first piped my outlines with madam lou lace paste as Shelby showed on her video. Then filled with gelatin and dried it overnight. I was able to peel it off easily and  mount it on a cookie.   I wonder if cookies are too rigid to hold the gelatin. Just a thought.

In the video, Shelby notes to use plastic underneath (as opposed to parchment). @Zeena said she used cut ziploc bags, so it may have been the use of parchment that caused the issue. In any case, the isomalt version looks gorgeous!

Thanks Zeena.  I suspect there was definitely some operator error on my part.  I definitely felt rushed when I was attempting it and wasn't terribly mindful.  I wouldn't mind experimenting more in the future when I have my act more together.  (that may take awhile! )

Thank you Christine.  There was more than ample operator error on my part.  The distractions over the past several weeks can only be categorized as the sorts of things that you just can't make up.  Oh well.  I guess that's how the gelatin jiggles.

Oh I just love this entry into the challenge Lisa @LisaF!! The colors swirling around with the bronze painted cookie...beautiful!!! Love the geometric design with the curved royal icing in the center of each hexagon. This is gorgeous! ❤️❤️❤️ Hugs...

Thank you Carol.  It was definitely a "process" and I learned so much.  I didn't give up!😂😘
