I rarely (OK, never) do this, but I was so delighted by two Christmas-y posts this week that I'm sharing them again here to make sure you have the opportunity to imbibe their holiday cheer.

The first is a video. Unfortunately, videos sometimes get overlooked because they don't hit the home page photo feeds. But as I said, this one posted by Michele Hester, owner/founder of SugarVeil, isn't to be missed.

The second is a magnificent sum-total of several cookiers' creations, a hillside village cookie collaboration organized by Rebecca Weld of The Cookie Architect.

Magical, right?!

I think Econolady asked how Michele made the cookies dance; she answered her on the original post, here: http://cookieconnection.juliau...-plum-dancing-cookie

Basically, it's a stop motion animation. Many different cookie parts are made in different positions; then a load of still images are taken of the gingerbread in those various positions; the still images are then strung together and sped up to create the video. It's a lot of work - this is how the simple stop motions were done at the start of my videos, though Michele's is much more involved/sophisticated than mine.

Many thanks for the post, Julia - I love the look of stop motion video, and have admired yours as well. Happy Holidays to you and Cookie Connection!

I saw these when this thread was posted, but never watched the video, since it was Christmas Crunch Time around here. I've finally gotten a chance to breathe and view the video. All I can say is WOW! How adorable is that!!?? Love it!
