More glorious fall site art has posted! This month, the beauty in our banner and backdrop is a fabulous combo cookie-isomalt creation and the handiwork of the very talented @Edyta Kołodziej. Thank you, Edyta, for your lovely contributions to the site since joining in 2018, and thanks to our Site Art Stylist Gabi, aka @Icingsugarkeks, for tweaking Edyta's original clip into the site-compliant forms that you see below. (As you might have guessed, the illuminated jack-o-lantern and pop-up of Edyta in the banner are Gabi's creative doing! If you don't see Edyta right away, be patient. The banner animation takes a little while to play to its end.)
As always, I love to interview my site artists as a way of thanking them for their contributions, and so I'll be conducting an in-depth Cookier Close-up Q&A with Edyta - but only after I get the interview with last month's artist, @LisaF, posted. I'll be starting Lisa's questions within the next week, so I hope I'll have her interview to you by November, followed by Edyta's in December. In the meantime, please get to know Edyta a bit better by reading her brief bio and checking out her social media links below. Thanks again to Edyta and Gabi for their work to beautify our site in November!
Edyta Kołodziej comes from Poland. Decorating cookies is her passion, which she pursues as a hobby. It all started for Edyta in 2013 with the construction of a gingerbread house for Christmas. For the next three years, she made gingerbread houses for friends and acquaintances; then things changed in 2017 when she met Ania Komisarczyk. During a course with Ania, Edyta learned the secrets of royal icing. Only a year later, Edyta took part in her first ŁÓDŹ you like cookie? contest, and won in the category of 3-D cookies. Following that win, she participated in Cake Festival Poland and Sweet Mission on Facebook, and affirmed that 3-D constructions are her favorite field.
Edyta loves to learn different decorating techniques and to play with royal icing. She explores the secrets of decorating through both courses and independent study of tutorials and materials provided by the Cookie Connection community. When making cookies, she always follows the golden rule: make what you would like to get yourself.

Last but not least, for those of you who are wondering how to get featured, it's easy! Simply read these posts here and here. Remember: Site artists not only get their work featured prominently for a full month, but they also get profiled in a forum post and in an in-depth Cookier Close-up interview. All considered, it's a lot of great free PR in exchange for photo sharing! When preparing your site art, please bear in mind that I already have artwork through June 2022, so I am specifically looking for art for July 2022 and beyond. Please also remember that @Icingsugarkeks, our Site Art Stylist, is available to help you get your photos in the right format, so do not hesitate to contact her if you need assistance! You can send her a PM right here on Cookie Connection by clicking on her name (in pink) above.
Thanks in advance for considering a contribution to the site!
