Hi, all. By now, you may have read @Aproned Artist's announcement at the end of her new and very fabulous nutcracker tutorial. If not, in a nutshell (pun intended), she's planning to take some time off from tutorial-writing to refresh her creativity. I am, of course, sad to know that Samantha will be posting less frequently in the coming months, as her work has been an extraordinary addition to this site. However, I fully appreciate the role that rest and rejuvenation play in keeping the creative juices flowing. I wholeheartedly support Samantha's decision and look forward to her return when the time is right for her.
That being said, I do want to keep a consistent flow of tutorials on the site, so if any of you would like to see a particular cookier (or cookiers) join the Cookie Connection tutorial team, please email me as soon as possible with recommendations, and I will do my best to enlist them if I think they'd be good fits. I am looking for someone with unique cookie talents and ideally a distinctive style. This person's work needn't be advanced like Samantha's, but it does need to be high quality - something that most cookiers would aspire to do. Additionally, this person need not reside in the United States, but his/her written English skills must also be good, since our tutorials are written in English. TIA for your input!
And, again, my best to Samantha! I am so appreciative of her top-notch contributions to Cookie Connection over the years, and can't wait to have her back creating tutorials as soon and as frequently as she is able.
