Saturday Spotlight: Top 10 Cookies

With Easter just two weeks away, Cookie Connection has been hopping (pun intended!) with all sorts of bunny and egg cookies decked out with flowers and spring-y pastels! A couple of recent Challenge #56 entries also make an appearance on this week's hot list* along with a belated Valentine's Day cookie or two. All considered, I've got a super cheery weekend roundup for you!

Thanks to all who contributed cookies to the site this week to keep it hopping! Special congrats to @Gingerland (aka Berni Solti) who not only earned this week's cover image, but is also featured three times! (Her clean, crisp cookie designs and awesome photos always attract everyone's utmost attention.) Also, a huge shout-out to @Lola Willard who just joined the site (on March 10, to be precise) and makes an appearance here with not one, but two lovely sets! What a tremendous kickoff to your Cookie Connection experience, Lola! I'm thrilled you're here and contributing so actively from the get-go!

So that's a wrap! But before I leave you, one last reminder that Challenge #56 closes next Sunday (March 24). If you haven't yet watched @mintlemonade (cookie crumbs)'s kickoff video, you should even if you don't plan to enter! It's a true gem! Though, of course, challenge host @Manu biscotti decorati and I would love to see your creations that come after watching it, so please consider entering. Also, stay tuned, I am teaching at The Bake Fest again in May, and Early Bird tickets go on sale on Monday, March 18. I will send an alert via this site at that time. I'm off to bed now, as I have an early flight back to Missouri tomorrow (I was at my place in Maine for a few days this week, cleaning up from various harsh winter storms that it managed to survive. * As a reminder, a word about how the rankings are determined: The rankings are not at all subjective. In fact, they are determined essentially by you, our members, and the activity (number of views, likes, and comments) you've bestowed on each photo. The site uses a top-secret algorithm that weighs these various factors to determine which photos are trending most quickly (i.e., are the "hottest") over specified periods of time. As such, the hot list at the time of this announcement may look a little different a few hours or a day from now as more photos are added to the site.
