I'm excited to say that It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas here on Cookie Connection! Sure, we've still got a decent number of fall-themed cookies featured in this week's hot list* (after all, Thanksgiving hasn't even happened yet), but sparkly, snowy cookie visions have officially started their official holiday "dance" on this site!
One of those visions is the annual cookie advent calendar that @Gingerland posts to the site like clockwork each year. I love so many things about this calendar: that it's become an eagerly awaited posting tradition; that it's one of our first reliable harbingers of the holidays; and that it's always so sublime in its simplicity, piping-perfection, and color choices! This year's calendar gives me all the same reasons to adore it, which is why it sits in this week's cover spot. Congrats to Gingerland!
Also, special congrats to first-time poster @Holly Dottarar whose work appears two times in this Spotlight! There are few things that please me more than seeing a new member jump right into the site and get noticed in such a visible way - and not just once, but twice! Well done, Holly!
With that brief intro, let's move on to a look at this week's lineup. Taking a cue from contributor @LisaF's comments from last week, I'm going to refrain from my usual editorial notes on each post. I feel that too often I talk at all of you, and so I want to turn down my volume and hear what you think instead. What aspects of our featured cookies do you most appreciate?
