Saturday Spotlight: Top 10 Fathers' Day Cookies

I might as well have entitled this post "Dads Want Cookies Too!", because judging from the sheer number of Fathers' Day cookies posted to this site, Dads have been getting the short end of the cookie stick. (As a frame of reference, we have over 2,700 photos in the Mothers' Day clip set, and barely 270 in the Fathers' Day set!)

But quantity does not always beget quality, as this week's hot list* of Fathers' Day stand-outs is testament! The list below boasts tailored shirts, Papa Bears lounging in armchairs, an amusing back-end view of a handyman (!), and even a pictorial tutorial (say that three times fast) about how to turn Christmas and baby shower cutters into a one-of-a-kind fly fishing set.

Yes, there's loads of inspiration here, and Dad's big day is still two weeks away, so I fully expect to see the numbers in our Fathers's Day clip set skyrocket over the coming days! Enjoy, and say congrats to this week's honorees - including many newcomers - along the way.

My apologies if I misspoke about anyone's newcomer (or otherwise) status. I can't tell you how many gorgeous cookies I see each week on this site, and in this Spotlight, so it could be that my memory has failed me in a couple of cases. In any event, all of this week's showcased cookies, no matter who made them, were stunning as always!

* As a reminder, a word about how the rankings are determined: The rankings are not at all subjective. In fact, they are determined essentially by you, our members, and the activity (number of views, likes, and comments) you've bestowed on each photo. The site uses a top-secret algorithm that weighs these various factors to determine which photos are trending most quickly (i.e., are the "hottest") over specified periods of time. I visit the site most days and in fact have posted comments on several new posts just in the last few days. I know how difficult it must be to keep up with all your members but I think I must have recently slipped through the net.

Hi, Valerie! I don't think you meant to respond to my email here, but just so you see my response, I am posting what I posted to everyone else that inadvertently received that message here:

So sorry! Yes,we are testing new software that was installed last week, and, evidently, the formula for sending lapsed member emails is incorrect. (I got one too!)
