Phew! It's pretty fair to say I'm on Mothers' Day overload - with my own cookies, that is. I just completed another day-long video shoot, and several weeks of the usual nose-to-the-grindstone, head-in-the-sand prep that precedes these "productions." The theme for the shoot was a combination of Mothers' Day, romance, and wedding - so lots of frilly, floral things that ladies might love. Think: 3-D cookie bouquets (not on sticks in the usual way), hanging vintage flower cones, cookie cake pedestals with dainty little skirts, eyelet lace doilies . . .
Eight or so weeks ago, when I first conceived of these projects, I thought they were kind of unique. But after hours of putting them together (in various stages of completion for the shoots, I might add) and then recreating them live again today, they're all looking a little same-old same-old to me.
Time to correct my tunnel vision! And what better way than by taking in the wealth of Mothers' Day creativity that streamed onto the site this past week?!
As it turns out, today's hot list* was just the shot of inspiration I needed - I dare say I'm ready to try my hand at Mothers' Day again next week.
