Though Kermit says it isn't easy being green, here on Cookie Connection green can certainly be pretty easy on the eyes! This week's hot list* features the ten top-trending St. Patrick's Day cookies, which include so many glorious shades. From deep and rich to sparkling and electric, green's range of possible tones is enough to make most other hues on the color wheel green with envy! Okay, I'll refrain from any more green commentary . . .
As much as I love green (oops, more green commentary!), I'm hoping to spend my weekend doing a bit less St. Patrick's Day prep and a bit more prep for Julia M. Usher’s Cookie Art Competition™. I still have nearly three months before entries are due (May 31), but I like to pace myself and leave ample time for the inevitable setbacks in need of troubleshooting. The mistakes are all part of the learning process, of course, but I can handle them much more gracefully when I'm not stressed for time. At least I've already registered and developed a general idea and direction for my entry. I can't wait to get started! I hope you'll join me on this adventure, though it's best to check out the rules and theme before you do!
Okay, that feels like enough of my blabbering, so let's take a look at this week's honorees.

So what do you think? Am I the only one seeing green?! (I just had to get in one more green comment! 😂) Seriously though, I'm feeling far from envious; just incredibly grateful to be able to see all of your beautiful creations. Congratulations, @Barbara Ells, @Teri Pringle Wood, @Paige Ayers, @Bumblebutters bake shop, @Sofiya, @María Imelda, and @Royal Icing Diaries for being spotlighted this week. Extra congrats to @Teri Pringle Wood for being featured three times, and to @María Imelda and @Bumblebutters bake shop for being first-time honorees (if my memory serves me correctly). And, of course, a very special shout-out to @Treatfairy who was dubbed our cover artist of the week.
Wherever you are and whatever you celebrate, I hope your week is filled with good luck, blessings, and, fingers crossed, a pot or two of gold. Until next time . . .
