I had so much fun with my pineapple and first attempt at brush embroidery that I decided to try it again.  I was curious about the dot technique that @Ewa Kiszowara uses.  I was cleaning out my closet and found a purse that I got in Istanbul (when we used to be able to travel) at the grand bizarre (when we used to be able to move about in crowded places).  It is the perfect size to bring to the theater (when we used to be able to go to the theater) because it fits my eye glass case and cell phone.  It also reminds me of my hair stylist (when we used to be able to get our hair styled) who is from Istanbul.

In any case, it has a faux embossed leather surface.  I thought the dot technique would work best.  It didn't turn out quite as I expected so I tried it again with lines.  I ended up liking that look more.  

Though I don't think my technique is completely up to snuff, I do find it very soothing.  I found myself reminiscing and thinking happy thoughts.
