Ooh, we've got such delightful fall art in our site banner and background this month, thanks to cookie artist @Di Art Sweets, aka Dora Lyubenova. The smiling pumpkins and acorns are just too cute for words, don't you think?! Thanks also to Gabi aka @Icingsugarkeks, our Site Art Stylist, for transforming Di Art Sweets' original "Autumn Friends" cookie post to fit the particular specs of our banner and backdrop - and for adding the falling cookie leaf to the banner! I just love that whimsical touch!

Now, let's learn more about Dora, shall we? Dora joined Cookie Connection from Bulgaria (!) back in November 2017, and has since posted SO many beautiful cookies to the site. Dora Lyubenova, also known as Di Art Sweets to her cookie friends, is an amateur cookie decorator from Bulgaria. She is a chemical engineer by training, and a mother of two children - a 24-year-old boy and an 11-year-old girl. Dora's interests include all aspects of art, but especially painting, sculpture, and photography. She loves embroidery, knitting, and travel as well. Dora started cookie decorating in 2017 when she had to make cookies for her own birthday! Soon after, she started to make cookies for her friends and relatives, and cookie decorating quickly became her new passion. In the beginning, she worked with fondant, but now she only works with royal icing. Dora has attended royal icing courses in Belgrade, and enjoys doing experiments and gaining any and all experience she can in cookie decorating. She loves the whole process of cookie work - from the dough to the photos! Now, three years after making her first cookies, she is a successful decorator and conducts her own cookie decorating courses in Bulgaria.
