From time to time, companies gift me with various goodies, hoping that I'll review or feature those goodies in a video tutorial. If the product isn't directly related to baking or decorating, I usually say "no thanks", and even if it is, I often decline due to lack of time to properly test the product (and, therefore, to honestly advocate for its use).
But, in the case of JORD (pronounced YODE) watches, which I first learned about a few months ago, my only possible answer was a resounding "yes"! I immediately fell in love with the beauty of these unique wood watches, and then became further entranced when I learned that they are designed and marketed in my very own backyard. (Well, not literally, but only a hop-skip-and-a-jump off Highway 40 here in St. Louis.)
Moreover, when I read the JORD motto ("Moments are bigger than minutes and your watch should tell more than time"), it just clicked with me! You see, my own site bears a strikingly similar tagline ("Make every moment a special event"), which is basically my way of saying: don't take precious time for granted, and always strive to turn your moments into something meaningful.
Since the original gifting of watches, I've bought another four (!) for my family and friends, which is probably the greatest testament to how much I love them! Oh, and I made this video!
Philosophical ramblings aside, let's get to what this post is all about, shall we?!
