Over the past week, I’ve seen all manner of “wintry mix”: ice, slush, freezing rain, snow, snow, and more snow . . . I’m not particularly fond of moving about in the latter much less shoveling it, so on snow days, I hunker down and become a complete homebody, focusing on creature comforts and staying cozy. One of those creature comforts involves lingering longer than usual under my down comforter in the morning, leisurely scrolling through beautiful cookie after beautiful cookie on this site. Though this week’s Spotlight contains its own wintry mix of cookies, from snowflakes and knit sweaters to cocoa mugs and early valentines, its collective creativity warmed my heart at first sight. I trust it will do the same for you!
Special congrats to @Holly Dottarar on earning our coveted cover spot this week, and to our early challenge entrants @Ryoko ~Cookie Ave., @Zeena, and @Stevie Jean, most of whom are appearing here for the second week in a row!
But without further ado, let's check out all of the wonderful honorees on this week's hot list*!

Terrific work, everyone! Also, if you aren't currently working on cookies for Challenge #58 (Beautiful Bows), I encourage you to join Ryoko, Zeena, and Stevie Jean in the cookie fun. I recently extended the challenge deadline into February to allow you more time to create. Plus, featured guest @Delorse's video is a gem and not one you'll want to miss. In the meantime, stay warm if it's winter in your neck of the woods!
P.S. I eventually had to extricate myself from my bed and go to the grocery store earlier this week . . . I'm pretty proud of what I accomplished after 45 minutes of shoveling, but I sincerely hope I don't have to repeat this backbreaking feat any time soon.
