We are in full Thanksgiving mode at my house. There will only be a small gathering this year but I am still pulling out all the stops. The bird, the sides, and, of course, all of the sweets! I like to do a little bit each day so that I can relax and enjoy once the holiday actually arrives. Fortunately, I seem on top of things this year and believe I will have some extra time this weekend to make some surprise treats for several worthy recipients. I've been doing a lot of cookie-bombing but I haven't posted those cookie gifts because they're all designs that I've already shared. This time around, I'm hoping to try something new. Fingers and feathers crossed!
While I'm noodling on those new designs, let's get started with this week's hot list*.
#1: Papa Noel de Royal Icing by The Sweet Cake House by Dany (There is so much detail and dimension on this cutie. How very jolly, @The Sweet Cake House by Dany!)
#2: Boho Macramé by Bakerloo Station (This set is pure artistry and perfect for this week's cover image. Amazing work, @Bakerloo Station!)
#3: It's Christmas Time by Heather Bruce Sosa (This adorable set is full of Christmas joy. It's certainly beginning to look a lot like Christmas, @Heather Bruce Sosa!)
#4: Dulce Navidad by The Sweet Cake House by Dany (What a sweet achievement! This cute-as-a-button set marks @The Sweet Cake House by Dany's second appearance on this week's list.)
#5: Unpainted Santa Royal Icing Transfer by Tina at Sugar Wishes (For the second week in a row, this guy has delighted us to the point that he's appeared in the Spotlight. Impressive all the way around, @Tina at Sugar Wishes.)
#6: Fall Colors by Zeena (This delicate wafer paper bouquet is giving me all sorts of ideas for my Thanksgiving tablescape. Wonderful, @Zeena.)
#7: Holiday Snow Globe Cookies by Julia M. Usher (@Julia M. Usher's latest Kitchen Club release is trending and with good reason. Not only is it a fun project to do alone or with friends, it is also a terrific gift idea. Check out the comment section under her post for more details about the tools she used.)
#8: Notre Dame Wedding by lulubakes (We have a couple of Notre Dame professors in our family, so this set brought me considerable joy. You definitely did justice to the couple and the institution, @lulubakes. Delightful!)
#9: Snow Globe Cookies by Gingerland (These fan favorites were posted in 2015 and trend every year around this time. Congratulations, @Gingerland, on getting almost 52K views!)
#10: Christmas Collection! by Di Art Sweets (Quite the festive collection indeed, @Di Art Sweets.)
I must say, at the moment, I am definitely experiencing all of the seasonal feels. My house smells incredible from my early food prep. The sounds of the season are playing in the background. And this week's Spotlight is full of joy and inspiration.
I hope you too are feeling all of the feels! And happy Thanksgiving (in advance) to all who celebrate!
