I am so thrilled with the cookies that have been trending on Cookie Connection this week. We have all sorts of celebrations. We also have color, texture, and dimension. Though this may be my personal interpretation, we also have a reminder of the super power of cookies!
However you look at this week's hot list*, I'm sure you'll agree that it's a scrumptious delight. Let's get to it . . .
#1: Halloween Mugs by Maggy Morales (Julia and I absolutely adore @Maggy Morales' soft spin on the traditionally bold black-and-orange Halloween palette. So much so, in fact, that we chose this set as this week's cover image! Plus, with Halloween fast approaching, we felt compelled to showcase this super cute set more broadly. Congrats to Maggy!)
#2: Blooming Orchid by Icingsugarkeks (These handpainted orchids are so darn stunning; they easily pass for the real thing! Great work, @Icingsugarkeks!)
#3: Floral Birthday by Vero (Very Vero) (I love the variety of vessels that @Vero (Very Vero) used for these beautiful bouquets. And the flowers - how incredibly lush!)
#4: Curiosities by Susie Jacobs (Today's Spotlight is the second to feature @Susie Jacobs' CookieCon entry - and with good reason! The details are amazing!)
#5: Baby Angel by Skilful Cook (This precious angel is an absolute work of art. Zoom in to check out @Skilful Cook's detailed shading and contouring.)
#6: Trick or Treat by Mary Kraft (Congratulations, @Mary Kraft, for having your Halloween cuties spotlighted for the second week in a row!)
#7: Bride Luxury Box by cookiebouquets (Such an elegant 3-D keepsake! I'm especially drawn to the contrast between the bare cookies and the detailed white piping. Wonderful work, @cookiebouquets.)
#8: Super Hero Comic by Montserrat Esquivel (This colorful set is, as the comics say, "Wow! Super! Awesome!" @Montserrat Esquivel nailed it! "Bam!")
#9: Parnassus on Wheels by Susie Jacobs (A huge shout-out to @Susie Jacobs for her second appearance on this week's hot list! This delightful 3-D piece was trending high and spotlighted last week as well.)
#10: Virgen de Guadalupe by Montserrat Esquivel (This charmer is @Montserrat Esquivel's second cookie to be featured this week. In striking contrast to her super hero set, it demonstrates Montserrat's versatility.)
Such an impressive collection, don't you think? This week's Halloween cookies (and all of the pumpkins that are popping up in roadside markets, grocery stores, and just about everywhere in town) are a reminder that I need to start planning for some promised seasonal treats!
I hope everyone has a safe, happy, and inspiring week!
So that no one has an unfair advantage in making it onto a hot list, the algorithm is secret even to site administrators. Only our platform developers know the code, which has been exhaustively tested by those developers and Cookie Connection staff.
